Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish model and actress. She was born on 11th November, 1966. She made her feature film debut by playing a minor role in the Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to play anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan is in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody tried to stay clear of glamour and nude roles, this was the principle she followed in her acting. Doody was a voice actor in the 1987 TV version of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in a dream. Doody was Sapsorrow in an episode of Jim Henson's fantasy show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. Her first appearance was in the 1988 movie Taffin alongside Pierce Brosnan. Next, she played Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist, Nazi-sympathizer, and antagonist to Harrison Ford. Doody is a member of the James Bond family, having played alongside Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Final Crusade. Doody has co-starred alongside Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was in part inspired by the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. Doody later moved to Hollywood. Chosen to replace Cybill Shepherd as the spokeswoman of L'Oreal She went on to perform alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery the agent's girlfriend. Doody, who had been off acting for more than 10 years, came back 2003 to play a small part in The Actors, a British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine was her character in a scene at an awards ceremony. Doody's roles include a TV movie version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004, a booklet about the Holocaust and a short film called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody was part of Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). Later, she guest-starred on RTE's the medical drama The Clinic. She was supposed to be the star of an adaptation in 2011 of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, the project was ultimately canceled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She also appeared on the show in 2014 as We Still Kill the Old Way. In November of 2018, she received the Almeria tierra de cine award as well as an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
